In 2022, the world's largest truck and bus manufacturer was spun off from Mercedes-Benz as Daimler Truck. This shift gave the possibility to build a modern development environment, bringing Developer Experience and DevOps culture into the spotlight. A unified developer platform, The Truck Toolchain (T3), was introduced to enable a healthy Developer Experience and prepare for upcoming technical innovations, including new GenAI-based tooling.

In this session, we will share the journey of carving out an enormous business, including the R&D and all developer tooling. We will discuss the lessons learned and share tips for organizations currently on their developer platform journey.
